Cloud Adoption Practices and Priorities in the Chinese Financial Sector: Survey Report
The FSI Survey collects information around cloud usage specific to APAC FSI sector, such as how organisations utilise cloud services to support core business functions and how they protect themselves against potential threats introduced by cloud. In addition, we are reviewing the current state of data sovereignty requirements and investigating how these requirements can be managed by other security controls. This survey will also provide a clearer picture of cloud adoption in the FSI sector in different APAC countries, identifying countries that are leading cloud adoption and countries that have opportunities for cloud computing.
Hence, the result of this survey will assist organisations on developing strategies to harness cloud technology so that it can support business requirements more efficiently and effectively, leveraging on the nature of cloud computing (i.e. business agility and economies of scale). The result of this survey also will help to develop delivery framework and supporting programme to support strategy, leveraging on existing international best practices and standards that are advised and developed by CSA. Lastly, this survey will provide measurable outcomes such as cloud adoption ranking by country. The measurable outcomes produced by this survey can be used to address board level concerns, which can be translated into tangible KPIs. It also addresses regulatory requirements, especially if the organisation is entering new market or exploring new businesses. Competency and relevancy of IT staff in reacting to emerging cybersecurity threats and future GRC requirements in a fast changing world can also be improved through reading the survey result.
