State on Cloud Adoption and Security: APAC
The benefits for enterprises moving to the cloud are clear: greater business agility, data availability, collaboration, and cost savings. Nowadays, organizations are more willing to embrace cloud technology with the improvement of cloud security. Survey on ‘State on Cloud Adoption and Security in 2016: India’ was conducted to measure cloud computing trends technology decision makers including usage and plans across various cloud service and deployment models, investments, business drivers and impact on business strategy and plans.
With advent of cloud computing technologies, firms are able to concentrate on their core activities while outsourcing the entire technology related supporting processes. This approach has been adopted by many firms which have resulted in lowering operational cost without losing focus on customer needs. Despite the benefits of cloud computing, companies face numerous challenges including the security and compliance of corporate data, managing employee-led cloud usage, and even the development of necessary skills needed in the cloud era. By understanding the cloud adoption practices and potential risks, companies can better position themselves to be successful in their transition to the cloud.
The State on Cloud Adoption and Security in APAC initiative, the Cloud Security Alliance aims to provide insights in cloud adoption in different APAC countries. The survey result will also identify countries leading cloud adoption and the countries with opportunities for cloud computing.
